Secure Chain (Secure Technology Analytics Ltd) is a company registered in England and Wales. This page explains our licensing position so clients understand the basis on which we operate.

The nature of our services

Secure Chain provides blockchain investigation, tracing and documentation services. These are investigative and analytical services. We do not take custody of client assets, execute trades or transfers, offer investment advice, or operate as a financial institution or payment service.

Regulatory authorisations

Because our services are investigative rather than financial in nature, they do not in themselves require authorisation by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000. Secure Chain is not authorised or regulated by the FCA and does not hold itself out as providing FCA-regulated activities.

Where a specific engagement would touch on a regulated activity, we will say so in writing and will not proceed on a basis that would require an authorisation we do not hold.
