Purpose
This policy explains how Secure Chain identifies and manages conflicts of interest so that clients can trust the independence of our work.
Identifying conflicts
A conflict of interest can arise where our duties to one client, or our own interests, could compromise our objectivity towards another. We assess each engagement for potential conflicts before accepting it.
Where a conflict is identified, we may:
- Decline to act
- Put appropriate information barriers in place
- Disclose the conflict and proceed only with informed consent, where appropriate
- Discontinue an engagement if a conflict cannot be managed
Our commitment
Our overriding commitment is to act with independence and integrity. Where we cannot do so, we will not act.
